This course is a residential course, on campus, designed to teach the student the basics of expanded duties. An introduction of how to safely use and place dental materials is demonstrated by the instructor. Typodonts will be used by the students to learn placement of composites, amalgam, sealants, cements and fabrication of temporary crowns/bridges. If a student is planning to utilize the skills taught in this course outside of Kentucky, please check with the state dental board website for rules and regulations governing the use of EDDA in that state. At the completion of all courses in their program, students will be awarded a Certificate of Completion.
